weekend+notes | 12.10.21

Through our surroundings and experiences - the books and articles we read, the products we shop, the people we encounter, the places we visit and the accounts we follow - inspiration awaits at every turn. It is what guides our ideas, outlines our

goals and shapes our dreams. Without it, challenges would be more

difficult to overcome and opportunities missed.

To spark a little creativity, encouragement or motivation, I thought I would share highlights of my weekly favorite finds with you on this weekend+notes page.

Here is the first edition...

Wherever your plans take you, wishing you a wonderful weekend!

  1. It's hard to believe we just recently wrapped up our last weekend sale at Chartreuse & co. for 2021. Mark your calendars for our opening dates in 2022 - fresh plans are in the works!

  2. For those of us in the Washington, D.C. area, a new coach bus line - The Jet - offers a unique concept for travel to and from New York City that would be fun to try.

  3. My wish list for home interior books is expanding... hoping to find Patina Homes under the tree this year to complete Patina Living and Patina Farm I received last year :). You can also follow Brooke on Instagram @velvetandlinen.

  4. Holiday shipping deadlines to send your packages in time are fast approaching!

  5. Recently subscribed to Chic & Country magazine and enjoying the beautiful photography.

  6. If you are located in or passing through the northern Virginia area, stop by the Great Falls Village Center to visit Lauren Liess's home store.

  7. The healthy benefits of making checklists.

  8. Looking for a planner for 2022? Check out the ones by Appointed available online and at their D.C. store location. The Year Task Planner in oxford blue is my favorite and I just purchased the fern one as a gift. Lots of products to choose from and customers can even custom design notebooks on-site at the Notebook Bar.

  9. With international travel restrictions constantly changing during the pandemic, it's certainly been difficult to make plans. Some countries are open to vaccinated individuals, but requirements differ from one place to another. Condé Nast published this article on which destinations are accepting visitors and how to navigate the decision on whether to go.

  10. With these 18 festive cocktail recipes from Food&Wine, there is sure to be one - or two! - to add to your favorites.

Thank you for reading!
