weekend+notes | 2.4.22

These first days of February arrived with a lot of rain and fog + six more weeks of winter based on Punxsutawney Phil's prediction. With the cold weather persisting and spring seemingly out of sight for now, the past couple of months (and let's face it - years!) have seemed filled with more moments similar to Bill Murray's character in Groundhog Day while many of us continue to juggle so much at home and manage longer work hours.

The increased number in articles tailored to how to balance the lifestyle changes we have endured since the beginning of this decade emphasize the amount of stress and fatigue we are all feeling. Much like Bill's experience in the movie, we can also make adjustments to see each day as a fresh start - a do-over to keep moving towards an improved outcome.

While following a set of routines is important, equally beneficial is occasionally breaking from the familiar. Taking a less popular path, trying a different approach, viewing the world from a variety of perspectives and shifting priorities is possible without losing focus on our intentions. Pausing our daily schedules in exchange for appreciation and reflection of simple things is key - even consequential - to restore, replenish and grow and something I am making more time for.

Here is this week's list of favorite discoveries and inspiration...

Wishing everyone another pleasant weekend!
